It's closing in on the 2008 olympics in Beijing so its an opportunity to wish myself and the 16 athletes well. I fly out August 1 and hope to carry a regular blog on www.finnvalleyac.com (and here at Patsy's Beijing Diary) from behind the scenes. This proved really interesting in 2007 from Osaka.I will start this early next week. I'll be flying for the next few days.

Glad to hear you and the team arrived safe and sound.
This is the BIG one Patsy - the one you have been planning for four years - if not twelve years. Your experiences of leading the team in Sydney and Athens will hold you in good sted over the next month.
I am sure I speak for all members of Finn Valley AC when I say -- we are massively proud of you and what you have done (are doing) for Irish athletics.
Go out there and 'kick ass' as only Patsy McGonagle can and enjoy every minute of the greatest sporting event on earth - the Olympic Games.

Hi Patsy....great to ge4t your diary entry !Almost feel I was there with all the gang .As I would expect...you have everything in hand , and probably three steps ahead of ALL the rest...just tell the athletes they have a big built-in advantage in their team manager !!!Wish everyone the best ,and above all , a most enjoyable Games...with memories that will last a life-time and be told and retold to the next generation of Olympians. Have a great experience ...and remember ALL your athletic friends are so proud of you ,and understand how tough it was to even get to Beijing ...WELL DONE , and now go even better ....love to all
